I absolutely adore sweet potato fries and dips! Whenever I spot them on a menu, I'm practically compelled to order them. However, when it comes to whipping them up at home, I prefer not to fry, so I turn to my trusty oven. These Oven-Baked Sweet Potato Fries are seasoned to perfection and serve as the ideal sidekick to sandwiches, salads, or any protein dish. With just a handful of ingredients, they come together effortlessly.

The secret sauce(s)

Now let’s talk about dipping sauces! I couldn't imagine enjoying fries without a delightful sauce for dunking. My personal favorite is honey mustard, but my adventurous spirit led me to explore some exciting alternatives, too. Enter the Chipotle Crema, which adds a zesty kick (don’t worry—it's not too spicy!) and the Green Goddess Dip, offering a bright, herbal flair. Each of these three dips pairs beautifully with the sweet potato fries, depending on your mood: sweet and tangy, creamy and spicy, or zesty and herbaceous!

This recipe is fantastic because it can easily be scaled to accommodate a crowd or just a cozy single serving. Plus, you can make all the sauces ahead of time and store them in the fridge, ready to elevate your meals throughout the week—think salads, grain bowls, proteins, veggies, or even more fries! I remember serving these delectable fries when my family visited one weekend; the moment they hit the table, they were gone in a flash! My family raved about the dipping sauces too. It’s safe to say these sweet potato fries are an undeniable crowd-pleaser!

Oven-Baked Sweet Potato Fries

Serves: 2-4 | Prep Time: 15 minutes | Cook Time: 30-30 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 2 medium - large sweet potatoes (about 2 lbs), cut into fries

  • 2 tbsp olive oil or avocado oil

  • 1 tbsp cornstarch

  • 1 tsp garlic powder
