Turning Point USA on Feb. 2 released details of its “All-American Halftime Show,” a live-streamed alternative Super Bowl–weekend program that will “celebrate faith, family, and freedom” scheduled to air during the NFL’s Super Bowl LX halftime performance.
The All-American Halftime Show, first announced in the fall, was created in response to conservative backlash about the NFL’s decision to feature Bad Bunny as the 2026 Super Bowl halftime show headliner.
Critics, including President Donald Trump, objected to the choice due to Bad Bunny’s outspoken opposition to Trump’s immigration policies, saying he doesn’t “know why they’re doing it.”
Turning Point USA positioned its own halftime show as a counterprogram for viewers who oppose the league’s pick and what they see as its embrace of politically outspoken performers.

Bad Bunny, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, is a U.S. citizen and resident of Puerto Rico. He has publicly criticized mass deportations and accused Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) of targeting Latinos, canceling his entire U.S. tour due to his concerns of ICE deportations affecting fans.
The controversy escalated when Corey Lewandowski, an advisor to Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, said in a podcast interview that immigration enforcement would include the Super Bowl.
“There is nowhere that you can provide safe haven to people who are in this country illegally — not the Super Bowl and nowhere else,” Lewandowski said.
Just one week ahead of his Super Bowl performance, Ocasio used his Feb. 1 Grammy acceptance speeches for Album of the Year and Best Música Urbana Album to again speak on immigration.
"Before I say thanks to God, I'm going to say: ICE out," he said, "We're not savage, we're not animals, we're not aliens. We are humans, and we are Americans." He emphasized that "hate gets more powerful with more hate” and encouraged those viewing to fight by loving their communities.

The remarks at the Grammys only added to the political controversy surrounding the halftime show, as Turning Point USA detailed plans for its alternative broadcast.
According to a Feb. 2 press release, Turning Point USA will present the show as a nationwide streaming broadcast featuring performances by Kid Rock, Brantley Gilbert, Lee Brice, and Gabby Barrett.
TPUSA spokesman Andrew Kolvet said the event is intended to provide “an entertainment option that will be fun, excellent, and exciting for the entire family while millions are gathered together for the big game.”
Kid Rock framed the event as a cultural counterpoint to the NFL’s halftime show, saying Turning Point USA was approaching it “like David and Goliath.”
“Competing with the pro football machine and a global pop superstar is almost impossible…or is it?” he said in the release. “He’s said he’s having a dance party, wearing a dress, and singing in Spanish? Cool. We plan to play great songs for folks who love America.”
According to the official website, the All-American Halftime Show is scheduled to stream at about 8 p.m. ET on Feb. 8, the night of the Super Bowl. TPUSA said it will be available on its YouTube, X, and Rumble channels, as well as on Sinclair Broadcast Group’s OTT channel “CHARGE!” and outlets including Daily Wire+, TBN, Real America’s Voice, NTD, and OANN. The organization said licensing agreements prohibit additional platforms from carrying the show live.
